June 26th, 2013: Birthday and Second Anniversary Celebration

June 26, 2013:  Aaron's 30th birthday, and Aaron and Jeong Mi's 2nd wedding anniversary. Kelly and I woke up around 7:00 am and after reviewing the "shower" in the bathroom routine, we headed out to find our favorite McDonalds. Forty minutes later, (and stopping two Koreans to ask directions) we made it!
McDonalds is tucked in behind the gas station/car wash. Check out the "golden arches!"

The Young adult staff did well conversing with us and we were able to order a breakfast value meal. (Now if I could understand their sign board system, I would  be able to figure out which number goes with which meal.)
We felt that the price was reasonable considering what the meals run at home: around $3.40 a meal.

After enjoying our meal, we were able to use the wireless from the business and find our route from the McDonalds to Liquor Burger.  And to our surprise, we realized that we went the long way around and that we were only about 20 minutes from the bar. Well it was a nice walk nevertheless!

On our way home, we were able to purchase a lovely anniversary cake for Aaron and Jeong Mi; find some time to work on our blog and visit with Jeremiah online and Melissa online. We walked to LB and sang Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary and enjoyed watching them open their gifts.

Kelly has been wanting a map of the area so we walked to the city hall and we were able to get some really nice maps. Kelly was so happy! We then  traveled by taxi to a nearby community where we enjoyed Vietnamese cuisine and played with the cats in the Cat Cafe!

Cat Cafe:   At this cafe there were about 10 or 15 cats that were roaming freely around the room.  We bought treats from the cafe and the cats came over to see us in droves!  What fun.

Then the day continues with another taxi ride to the soccer stadium for the Incheon United Soccer Game. Sadly the home team did not play well losing to their opponent 1 to 4... an oucher but a beautiful night for a soccer game with family and friends of Aaron's and Jeong Mi!

A taxi ride back to the apartment where Aaron and Jeong Mi  said goodbye to  us at the end of a pleasant evening!
